With Spring finally here, it gives everyone a chance to get back outside & enjoy some of the Festivals & happenings that also breath life back into Door County after a long winter.
April 29 - June 5th is the county wide celebration of the Festival of Blossoms. You’re always sure to find some great deals shopping, galleries will have new showings & pieces available for sale, for the avid sportsman the fishing couldn’t be better or if you’re extremely motivated, join one of the many Runs or Marathon’s!
May 7, 14 & 21st our friends from Door County Trolley will be holding their Spring Blossom Trolley Tours. Tour guests will get to experience 2 private wine tastings at two award winning Door County Wineries. You will then go on a tour of various beautiful scenic overlooks throughout Fish Creek. You will also be treated to a savory lunch at the Historic White Gull Inn. With limited seating make sure to call ahead to make your Trolley date, 920-868-1100.
Runner’s & Athlete’s mark down the date of May 7th. Fish Creek is holding their Half Marathon & the Nicolet Bay 5k at Peninsula State Park. A 13.1 -mile run, on a closed road course through the sublime views of Peninsula State Park. 10am Half Marathon, 10:30am 5k run. No race day registration, for more info call 920-421-1519.
Egg Harbor is also holding their Blossom Run on May 7th. Starting at 8:30am at the Egg Harbor Boat Launch Park, it’s a low key, fun, family oriented event that has a 5 mile run, 2 mile walk-run and a 1 mile youth run. For more information call 920-743-4949.
The month of May also mean’s Orchard’s are back open! So be sure to stop in at all your favorite Orchards & Markets and be sure to fill up on some of the heavenly Door County goodies they offer.
